Portraits in business style can be shot either as classic headshots or can be used different and more creative compositions with use of hands, various poses and props (chair, armchair, rail, computer, books …).
While headshot is more conservative with universal usage, the business photos with creative composition are more often used in printed promotion documents or as editorial photos to articles (however, less standard composition and use of various surroundings does not exclude a usage of such photos in annual report or for web site, on the contrary many clients use this style to attract attention or to distinguish from competition).
Regards to place, a choice is between photo studio or some natural surroundings (interior – office, foyer, stairs, factory or exterior – in front of administrative building or factory, in park or in some generic street surroundings). Every place has its own usage and atvantages, so the choice depends on client's preferences and intention.

An engagement for business portraits can include only shooting standard portraits with several different compostions or on the other side it can be performed in „production“ style which will include meeting where ideas and intentions are discussed, finding and preparation of suitable site, and use of professional makeup and hairstyle artist.
